He was predeceased by: his parents, John Collins and Zola Collins; his sons, Christopher Sean and Lawrence Todd; his grandchildren, Rachel Lael and Darin Collins; and his sister Winifred Hayes.

He is survived by: his wife Linda Collins (Madsen); his son Troy (Heather Collins); his grandchildren, Carleigh and Ryan Ritzema; his great grandchild Remi Mae; his grandchildren, Chandler and Clayton Collins; his son Jeff (Sara Collins); his grandchildren, Kayla, Tyler and Alayna Collins; and his brother John (Donella Collins). He is also survived by his boys, his work family became a part of his family.
