He was predeceased by: his son John W. Batdorff; his parents, John Ezra Batdorff and Floy Lorraine Batdorff; and his siblings, Fern Hull, John Batdorff and Elwyn Batdorff.
He is survived by: his wife Lucy; his sons, Donald Batdorff (Judy) and Tim Batdorff (Jami); his daughter-in-law Debbie Batdorff; and his siblings-in-law, John Head, Nancy Batdorff and Joann Thomas. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Stroo Funeral Home (1095 68th St SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49508). A funeral service was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Christ Community Church (1111 68th St SW, Byron Center, MI 49315).
