He is survived by: his wife Arlene Jastifer; his sons, Shawn Middleton (Sheryl) of Manistee, Steven Middleton (Will Fitton) of California, Jason Middleton (Bridget) of Ohio and Joseph Middleton (Mary) of Grand Haven; his grandchildren, Tyler (Jennifer), Erin, Nathan Middleton, Nolan, Mia Middleton, James and Julia Middleton; his sisters, Susan Smith of Florida, Margaret Kline (Jack) of Marne and Kathleen Killgore of Wayland; his in-laws, JoAnn Jannenga (Joel), James Jastifer (Pauline) and Jack Gerke; and his close friends, JoAnn and Jody Umlor.
