It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Winona M. VanderWest of Grand Rapids, Michigan, who passed away on May 11, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Roger J. VanderWest; her son Jon VanderWest; her parents, Ted Karsten and Winifred Karsten; and her brothers, Henry (Evelyn Karsten) and Harvey Karsten.

She is survived by: her son Dean VanderWest; her friend Shirlene VanderWest; her daughter Dawn Mulder (Tom); her grandchildren, Kimberly Hesselink (Scott), Kevin Mulder (Nikki), Jason VanderWest (Kenna) and Chad VanderWest (Molly); and her great grandchildren, Gavin, Brody, Mason Hesselink, Hudson and Simon Mulder.
