It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Daniel Joseph VanderLaan (Grandville, Michigan), who passed away on January 1, 2026, at the age of 58, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Don VanderLaan and Marge VanderLaan. He is survived by: his wife Paulette VanderLaan; his children, Justine Wescott (Tony), Daniel (Emily), Vincent VanderLaan and Jacob VanderLaan; his grandchildren, Brittany, Carson, Madison, Sophia and Jason; his siblings, Michael VanderLaan (Linda), Stephen VanderLaan (Pat), Susan Post (Bob), Robert VanderLaan (Katie) and Jenny VanderLaan; and his friend Harley. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
