He was predeceased by: his siblings, Clarence, Betty Miedema, Kathleen, Roger Westmaas, Gerald and Adri Miedema; and his siblings-in-law, Marilyn, Bern Gelder, Russ Walcott and Harold Walcott.
He is survived by: his wife Lynne; his children, Mike (Carrie Miedema), Shelly (Kurt Kunst), Marc (Becky Miedema) and Amelia (Mike Broekhuis); his great grandchildren, David Miedema, Jacquelyn, Seth Ritsema (Kinsley), Kendra, Luke Postma (Judson), Kyle, Vanessa Kunst, Matthew Kunst, Emma, Jovie, Henry Miedema, Maggie Broekhuis, Drew and John Broekhuis; and his sister-in-law Faith Walcott. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
