He was predeceased by: his wife Bonnie Dempsey; his parents, John Dempsey and Thelma Dempsey; his daughter Elaine Dempsey; and his grandparents, John, Orphan Dempsey, Ernest and Myrtle Price.
He is survived by: his children, Jeff Dempsey (Betty) and Terri Herbstreith (Lloyd); his grandchildren, Tyler Herbstreith, Chad Smith and Jana McClellan (Gus); his great grandchildren, Brayden McClellan, Mckena McClellan, Cade McClellan, Brynleigh McClellan, Keegan McClellan, Toby Smith and Gabriel Smith; his sister Judy Hopkins; his niece Tiffany Hopkins; and his nephew John Hopkins. He is also survived by many extended family, nieces, nephews, and friends.
