She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Stason (Camara) and Donat Stason; and her husband Donald Sample MD. She is survived by: her daughters, Kathryn MacDonald (Greg) and Christine Schafer MD (late Brian MD); and her grandchildren, Penda MacDonald, Tarryn MacDonald, Tiffany Charneski (Hunter), Brittany, Brian Jr. Schafer (Christi) and Stason Vandegrift MD (Drew). She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren, her family and many, many friends.
