He was predeceased by: his parents, Marguerite Patterson and Gail F. Patterson Sr. (Pat); and his brother Gail F. Patterson Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Patterson of Grandville; his sons, Robb Patterson (Kathy) of Kalamazoo and Craig Patterson (Lynn) of Kentwood; his grandsons, Michael Patterson (Leslie) of Paw Paw and Eric Patterson of Kalamazoo; his great grandchildren, Luke and Ben of Paw Paw; his sister Cherylle Beck of Branden, FL; and his siblings-in-law, John Van Prooyen (Marsha) of Cape Coral, FL and Marilyn Bailey of San Jose. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
