He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Sheldon and Gloria Sheldon; and his parents-in-law, Gilbert and Alice Perrin. He is survived by: his wife Sherry Sheldon (Perrin); his children, Todd Sheldon and Amy Duggan; his children-in-law, Melinda Sheldon and Josh Duggan; his grandchildren, Kylie and Drew Sheldon; his pets, Rosie, Sparkles and Luna; his siblings, Gerrie Vennesland (Ken) and Gayle Chernoby (Ernie); and his brother-in-law Jeff Perrin (Mary Frey). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, August 28th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM. A funeral service was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Bethel Lutheran Church (3655 Wilson Ave SW, Grandville, MI 49418).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to the Humane Society of West Michigan.
