He is survived by: his wife Patricia; his children, Michelle Pena (Paul) and Stephen Asaro (Catherine); his grandchildren, Brianna Pena-Wojtanek (Matthew), Joshua Pena (Hunter), Alexis Asaro and Ashley Asaro; and his brother Peter Asaro (Susan). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins.

In honor of Stephen, memorial contributions may be made to Porter Hills Village or Saint Mary's Foundation (Trinity Health Grand Rapids).
