He was predeceased by: his parents, Esther Ostyn and Albert Ostyn. He is survived by: his friend Grant; his wife Leslie Ostyn (Shaffer); his sons, Roscoe J Ostyn (Kelly Carlisle) and Shay M. Ostyn (Kaylyn Westgate); his grandchildren, Billy, Raven and Hunter (Kayla); his great grandchild Emerson; his sisters, Patricia Sawicki and Diana Ostyn; his niece Lisa Thomas (Randy); his great-niece Bethany; his siblings-in-law, Frances Fairfiled, Joan Warnaar and Randy Shaffer (Diane); his uncle Jerome Denewith; his brothers-in-law, Bob Sawicki, Don Warnaar and Jim Fairfield; and his nephew Phillip Kent.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Fields-McKinley Funeral and Cremation Services Grant Chapel (45 E Main St, Grant, MI 49327). A Mass will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Bartholomew Catholic Church (599 W Brooks St, Newaygo, MI 49337). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the Newaygo VFW Post #4249 (45 Gene Fergason Lane, Newaygo, MI 49337).
