As Helen departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Helen may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Helen leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Smith and Violet Smith (Plucker); her son Delbert Matthew; and her siblings, Florence Smith, Maxwell Smith and Martin Smith.
She is survived by: her husband Delbert H. Hancock; and her daughter-in-law Kathryn Hancock of Belleville. She is also survived by four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
