With solemn reverence, we commemorate JoAnn Palmer of Grass Lake, Michigan, whose life came to an end on October 14, 2025 at the age of 83, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Edward and Edith Jane O'Malley (Forbes); and her sisters, Sharon Schwab and Kay Beasley. She is survived by: her children, William Westenbarger of Garden City and Martha Bellew (JB) of Mandeville, Louisiana; her grandchildren, Joshua, Lisa, Sharon, Christine and Jonathan; and her siblings, Michael O'Malley and Molly Harder. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren.

A reception will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cole Funeral Chapel (214 E Middle St, Chelsea, MI 48118). A burial will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Roseland Memorial Gardens (3744 Brooklyn Rd, Jackson, MI 49203).

Memorial contributions may be made to Napoleon United Methodist Church, 210 Nottawasepee, Napoleon, MI 49261.

“I am beyond saddened 💔 over the passing of my best friend, my “Angel Sister.” I met Jo Ann in high school in October 1958 where we quickly became life long friends. Jo Ann was truly one of a kind. I will miss her smile, her laughter, her kind and forgiving nature. God has her in His hands now, I will always have her in my heart. My prayers 🙏🏻. for Syd, her loving and supportive husband, her sister Molly, who was always there for her and her brother Michael. May you find peace.”
