Anglau T. Hoover Obituary
Anglau "Angie" Thelma Hoover, 89, of Grayling, passed away on Friday, July 10, 2026, at the Brook of Gaylord surrounded by family.
Born July 19, 1936, in Gladwin, Michigan, she was the daughter of Paul Raymond and Lila (Haddix) Brubaker. She grew up in Gladwin, MI as one of nine children. Angie married the love of her life, Wendell L. Hoover at the First Methodist Church in Gladwin, Michigan on July 11, 1964. They made their home in Hartwick Pines and Maple Forest Township in Crawford County, Michigan. Angie was an x-ray technician before raising her family. Angie and Wendell were active French & Indian War and War of 1812 reenactors with the Grand Traverse Metis, Michilimackinac Voyageurs and the Spirits of the North. In her retirement, Angie was an avid bird watcher and quilter.
Angie is survived by Wendell, her husband of 61 years; her son Jeremiah and Nadia Hoover; grandchild, Miller Hoover, and sisters Roszella (& Bernie) Foor and Lotta Mack, along with several nieces and nephews.
Angie was predeceased by her parents; brothers Richard, Robert, Russell, Ralph, Murray; and her sister Alice.
The family will hold visitation on Tuesday, July 21, 2026 at Noon at the Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home Gladwin Chapel. The Memorial Service will follow at 1:00 P.M. with a nephew Pastor Sam Wilson, presiding with the burial in Highland Cemetery.
