It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Louis McClain of Grayling, Michigan, who passed away on April 19, 2026, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd McClain (Mickey) and Carrie McClain (LaGrow); his son Patrick McClain; and his siblings, FJ, Jerry, Jim and Sally Papendick.
He is survived by: his wife Marliyn; and his children, Jeff McClain (Pam), Shelly Elmy (Kelly), Scott McClain (Linda), Tammy Preston (Stan), Justin McClain (Jessica) and Melissa Bull. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Bob can be made to the Ausable Valley Animal Shelter.
