He is survived by: his mother Peggy Thornton (Reynolds); his children, Tabitha Starr Hunt (Mike), Christina Thornton and Scott Thornton II; his siblings, Randy Reynolds (Carol), Richard Thornton II (Ann Marie) and Dean Thornton (Lori); and his grandchildren, Claire, Trinity, Brandon, Lilly and Oliver.
