Carl W. Katterjohn Sr. Obituary

We announce the death of Carl W. Katterjohn Sr. (Greenville, Michigan), who passed away on September 20, 2026, at the age of 84. Carl will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Katterjohn and Amytis Katterjohn (Heifner); his wives, Bonnie Katterjohn (Hemmes) and Jane Katterjohn (Pattee); his son Steve Andersen; and his brother Arthur Katterjohn.

He is survived by: his siblings, Robert Katterjohn and Susan Higgins; his children, Todd Andersen (Lisa), Daniel Katterjohn, Carl Katterjohn, Jr. (Julie), Patti Powell (Steve), Diana Dillon and Kristin Rahn (Nathan); and his grandchildren, Chelsea Kiste (Marcus), Travis Burtenshaw (Brittany), Jeremey Katterjohn (Elizabeth), Jordan Katterjohn, Josilyn Tase (Kody), Carl Katterjohn III, Jessica Berthume, Steven Powell (Catalina), Olivia LeFebre (Andrew), Rachael Reidt, Emma Rahn, Matthew Rahn and Sophia Rahn. He is also survived by 27 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hurst Funeral Home (1801 W Washington St, Greenville, MI 48838). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
