With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Donald G. Schoonmaker of Greenville, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 27, 2025 at the age of 73. He was predeceased by: his parents, Finley Schoonmaker and Ilene Schoonmaker (Losinger); and his siblings, Steven and Linda VanSplinter. He is survived by: his wife Arsenia; his children, Markiel Gene Schoonmaker and Consalasion Ilene Schoonmaker; his grandchildren, Skye, Arsenia and Lincoln; and his siblings, Marsha Porter, Joan Hughes, Paula Splitstone (Bill), Joseph Schoonmaker (Dawn), Pamela Schoonmaker, Alma Katherine Terrill and Lila Hodges (Daniel). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the K. E. Pike Funeral Home (13603 Northland Dr NE, Cedar Springs, MI 49319). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
