He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Miles and Floy Miles; his sisters, Marilyn Phinney and Darlene Steele; and his stepson Lynn Heinlen.
He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Muscott Heinlen Miles; his children, Kim Christensen (Del), Karla Rasmussen (Richard), Char Braman (Jim), Chuck Miles (Lauren), DeAnn Heinlen, David Heinlen (Lene), Christina Johnson (Mike), Michelle Heinlen and Grace Heinlen; his grandchildren, Brad Rasmussen (Rachel), Megan Fosmore (Brian), Linsey Christensen, Chris, Ryan Christensen (Ashley), Taylor Braman, James Braman Jr., Dustin Crawford (Recia), Brandon Crawford (Tori), Austin Heinlen, John Donnelly II, Luke Donnelly, Amber Streeter, Alicia Streeter and Jace Heinlen; his great grandchildren, Grayson, Fletcher, Nora Jane Crawford, Alex, Jacob, Owen Barber, Kolt, Kase, Keely Christensen, Sophie Hernandez and John Donnelly III; his sister Bonnie "Mouse" Shine; his brother-in-law Dale Shine; and his pets, Honey and Otis.
