He is survived by: his wife Sally Freeman; his children, Kathy MacDonald (Thomas) and Gregory Freeman (Tammy); his sister Brenda McAllister (Richard); his grandchildren, Jennifer Patrick (Nathan), Kristen Lorentz (Michael), Nicholas Freeman and Alex Freeman; and his great grandchildren, Maxwell Patrick, Eleanor Lorentz and Olivia Lorentz.

A memorial service was held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Grosse Ile Presbyterian Church (7925 Horse Mill Rd, Grosse Ile Township, MI 48138). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Ford Yacht Club (29500 Southpointe Rd, Grosse Ile Township, MI 48138).
