It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Flynn Michael MacKrell (Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan), born in Saint Johns, Michigan, who passed away on November 17, 2023, at the age of 18, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his grandparents, John Vanker and Margaret "Peg" MacKrell; and his cousin Jack Vanker. He is survived by : his parents, Anne Vanker and Thad MacKrell; his siblings, Lily and Thad; his grandparents, Elaine McCollum and Thaddeus; and his cousins, Johnny, Lauren, Brendan, Marie, Joseph, Molly, Grace, Liza, Katie, Nolan, John Patrick and Daniel. He is also survived by 13 aunts and uncles.

Flynn's father has been on the board of Mariners Inn in Detroit for seven years, and in lieu of flowers, donations in Flynn's name can be made to the "Open More Doors Campaign" at http://www.marinersinn.org.
