He is survived by : his wife Judy Knack; his children, Raymond Smith (Eileen), Bonnie Ireson, Susan Cook (John) and Meghan Beers (Derek); his grandchildren, Raymond, Matthew, Olivia, Paul, Brady, Cameron and Blake; and his siblings, Doris Decker (late Jerry), Marilyn Funk (Wayne), Lawrence Smith (late Pam) and Karen Ellis (Gary).

Visitation was held on Friday, June 14th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the St Paul on the Lake Catholic Church (157 Lake Shore Rd, Grosse Pointe Farms, MI 48236). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, June 14th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
