It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Van Antwerp (Grosse Pointe Park, Michigan), born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on November 28, 2019, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, George Antwerp and Bernadette Van Antwerp; his children, Beth LaRiviere (Tim), Mimi Jordan (Tom), Katie Melville (Bill), Chip Van Antwerp and Ted Van Antwerp (Tricia); his grandchildren, Patrick, Theo, Liam, Sarah, Elizabeth, Erin, C. J. and Ryann; his great grandchildren, Trey, Graham and William; his brother Bernie Van Antwerp; his wife Nancy Van Antwerp; and his sister Betty Dettloff.

“What a great Uncle. I remember him, lighting fireworks, shooting bb guns and throwing water balloons. I remember him as a kid coming to our house to help my Dad paint the house. They were starting to paint the third floor and needless to say they were hesitant to start. They both decided since it was 5 o'clock to have some refreshments. After happy hour.....they were both up three stories on ladders and finished the job. They were laughing the whole job. Great memories. Jack Seibert”
