With sadness, we share the passing of John Charles Prost of Grosse Pointe Park, Michigan. John Charles, born on October 16, 1936, passed away on June 25, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Kathryn "Kay" Smith Prost and John L. Prost; and his sister Barbara Prost Nelson. He is survived by: his wife Lucinda Ann Hendricks Prost; his daughters, Kathryne (Richard Singleton) and Elizabeth (Mark Schlater); his grandchildren, Kathryne "Kate" Schlater, John "Jack" Schlater, Emma Grace Singleton and Andrew John Singleton; and his nieces and nephews, Mary Cole, Katie Nelson Conrad, Marjorie Collins, Bruce Nelson, James Nelson, Charles Jacobson and Russell Jacobson.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in John's honor to the Detroit Industrial School (https://detroitindustrialschool.org) or St. Ambrose Church.
