He is survived by: his former wife Jill Shook; his children, Melissa Yoder (Reid), Sarah Shook (Joseph Gorz), Emily Shook and Michael Shook; his grandchild Zachary Yoder; and his siblings, John Shook (Stephanie), Mary Phylllis Shook (Charles McAleer), Margaret Shook, James Shook (Michelle), Thomas Shook (Lyn) and Frances Schmidt (Rainer).
