It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John R. Schneider D. of Grosse Pointe Shores, Michigan, who passed away on September 22, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Evelyn Schneider and John Schneider; his former wife Gail Schneider; and his brother Richard "Dick" Schneider. He is survived by: his wife Lynn; his children, Kristen Van Pelt (Tom), Kurt Schneider (Betsy) and Erich Schneider (Meghan); his stepchildren, Steven Carpenter and Carrie Devlin; his grandchildren, Kate, Tommy Van Pelt, Jack, Sophia Schneider, Annie, Lily, Dexter Schneider, Charlie Carpenter, Rachel, Tucker and Mason Devlin; his sister-in-law Linda Schneider; and his nephew Matthew Schneider (Elizabeth).
A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, November 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Paul on the Lake Catholic Church (157 Lake Shore Rd, Grosse Pointe Farms, MI 48236).
