With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James John Schmelzle (Grosse Pointe Woods, Michigan), born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on April 6, 2022 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Lloyd; his wife Rose Marie; and his son Jim. He is survived by: his daughter Linda Schmelzle; his grandsons, Jimmy Schmelzle (Jenn) and Joshua Schmelzle (Holly); his great grandchildren, Colt, Grant and James; and his cousins, Joan Weigand, Judith "Cookie" Hawkins and Nancy Reid.
