He was predeceased by: his parents, George Steil and Rita Steil; and his siblings, George Steil, Jr., Gordon Steil and Pamela Steil.
He is survived by: his children, Kim Hopper (Thad) of Crofton, KY, Laurie Lawrence (Jesse) of Pembroke, KY, Angela Strader (Jeff) of Hopkinsville, KY and Michael Steil, Jr. (Martha) of Hopkinsville, KY; his grandchildren, Will Hall, Luke Hall, Mattison Lawrence, Ryan Lawrence, Shelton Strader, Lilly Strader, Chelsea Steil Flores (Ricky) and Libby Steil; and his great grandchild Emery Flores.
