He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor Macks and Cecilia Macks (Skibinski); his wife Mary Ann Macks; and his siblings, Judith Reevesman, Harold Macks, Victor Macks, Eileen Alessi and Kathleen Tresick.

He is survived by: his children, Ralph Macks (Cindy) of Oxford and Rebecca Hartill (Eric) of Hoover, Alabama; his grandsons, Patrick Macks, William Hartill and Ethan Hartill; his brothers, Gerald Macks and Gary Macks; and his pets, Buster, Bauer and Sparky.
