He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Mary Nihem and Jack Nihem; his wife Bernadette Nihem (Bertoncello); his children, Thomas J. Nihem (Julie), Darryl Nihem (Nancy) and Christina Tompson (Jim); his grandchildren, Mackenzie Burchi (Michael), Natalie Boettcher (Luke), Hannah Nihem, Ashley Nihem and Jennifer Nihem; and his great grandchildren, Emma Burchi, Blair Boettcher and Alice Burchi.
The lying in state will be held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Christ Church (960 E Jefferson Ave, Detroit, MI 48207). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
