He was predeceased by: his parents, Orville Sather and Emma Sather (Willette); his wife Lori Normand (Sam); his son Ryan Sather; and his siblings, Edward Sather and Julie Jacob.
He is survived by: his son Justin Sather of Gwinn; his grandchildren, Jensen Sather and Anessa McGuire; and his sister Susan Fosterling. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
