Daniel Tonkin Obituary

It is with sadness that the passing of Daniel Tonkin (Gwinn, Michigan) is shared. Daniel, born on January 24, 1950 in Marquette, Michigan, passed away on June 28, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James Tonkin and Mary Estelle Tonkin (Neault); and his brother Jimmy Tonkin. He is survived by: his wife Lynn Tonkin; his children, Chad Tonkin (Sarah), Danielle Fraley (Jim) and Nicole Dixon (Jeremy); his grandchildren, Ryland Tate Dixon and Alex Tonkin Devine; his siblings, Cheryl Gutzman and Brian Tonkin; and his sister-in-law Connie Tonkin. He is also survived by many other brothers and sisters-in-law, as well as many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations in his name be made to South Shore Fishing Association and/or UPAWS.
