She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald Elton and Neva Marie Caton (Runyan); her husband Harold Bannister (Bud); and her brother Ron. She is survived by: her brother Dave; her sons, Mick (Vickie) and Joe (Sharon); her grandchildren, Erin, Leigh, Robert, Joshua (Nica) and Justin (Robyn); and her great grandchildren, Grayson, Jameson, Christian, Theo and Luca.

“Growing up I referred to my cousin Kay (Carolyn) as "Aunt Kay" due to our age difference (she was actually born a year earlier that my mom). Her sons were my age so I grew up calling them my cousins. She was always gracious ... maybe a little stern at times ... but, all around, very nice. Visiting my 'cousins' Mick and Joe was always fun. Aunt Kay kept us kids well fed. Mick, Joe, Dave, we are sorry for your loss. Larry & Laura Runyan”
