He was predeceased by: his parents, Fedel Spiteri and Ethel Spiteri (Attwell); his wife Dorothy Joan LaPlante; and his siblings, Margaret Kaufman, George Spiteri, Kathleen Murphy, Henry Spiteri and Carmen Spiteri.

He is survived by: his daughters, Kathy Mahalak (Greg), Laura Mitchell (Tom) and Susan Wilson (Jeff); and his grandchildren, Angie Kahatri (Raj), Bill Ballard (Madyln), Cindy Neville (Tom), Dustin Ballard, Kyle Wilson (Courtney), Allison Smith (Phil) and Theresa Mitchell. He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
