He was predeceased by: his parents, John McCarty and Edrie McCarty (Polite); his children, Edrie Roe (William) and Ronald McCarty Jr.; and his siblings, Alberta Giannotta, Pat Farrar and John Y. McCarty.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Ann Michalski; and his children, Joseph McCarty (Lisa), Carl McCarty (Nancy), Judith Sehi and Kelly McCarty. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
