He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Poppen and Geneva Vander Poppen (Zoerhof); and his siblings, Delvin Vander Poppen and Shirley Dangremond. He is survived by: his wife Carol Vander Poppen; his children, LeAnn (Brad Waide) and Ryan Vander Poppen; his grandchildren, Danny and Elizabeth Waide; his brothers, Dale (Carla Vander Poppen) and Mark Vander Poppen; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Vander Poppen, David Dangremond, Arla (Juergen Richter), Mark (Devota Johnson) and Ward (Wendy Johnson). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
A committal service will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Riverside Cemetery (3613 47th St, Hamilton, MI 49419).
