He was predeceased by: his parents, James McClure and Mary Ella McClure (Zahl); his brother Denny McClure; his in-laws, Deloy and Mary Appel; and his brother-in-law Ed Appel.

He is survived by: his wife Sandy McClure (Appel); his children, Jessica Van Dyke (Nick) of Hudsonville and Travis McClure (Jaema) of Zionsville, Indiana; his grandchildren, Max, Gracie and Emma Van Dyke; his brothers, Mark (Anna), Kevin (Terry), Gary (Kate), Greg (Wendy) and Chris (Michelle); and his siblings-in-law, Debbie and Kevin Appel (Julie). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
