He was predeceased by: his mother Shirley Tchida. He is survived by: his father Gerald Tchida; his wife Edith M. Burrous; his children, Jennifer Tchida, Matthew Tchida (Bailey Ross) and Tiffany Burda (Joseph); his grandchildren, Izak Tchida, Mattie Burda-Mosqueda (Andy Mosqueda), Eleanor Tchida, Emerie Burda, Isla Burda, Sawyer Ross and Gracyn Tchida; his siblings, Michael Tchida (Debby), Gregory Tchida (Annette) and Lori Budweg (Jeff); his nieces and nephews, Miranda Budweg, Kayla Tchida, Brody Budweg, Trevor Tchida, Adeline and Rhyatt; and his close friend Michael "Fuzzy" Frenette (Kathy).

Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 6th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Church of the Resurrection (900 Quincy St, Hancock, MI 49930). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, May 6th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. The military honors was held on Wednesday, May 6th 2026 at the Forest Hill Cemetery.
