He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Walikainen and Esther Walikainen; his stepfather Stan Kuopus; his brothers, Gordon and Paul Walikainen; his in-laws, William and Kathleen Nicholls; and his brother-in-law Steve Nicholls.

He is survived by: his wife Emily; his children, Laura Rouleau (Mark) and John Walikainen (Manon); his grandchildren, Ann and Henri Rouleau; his sister Diane Wester (Dave); his sisters-in-law, Gail Walikainen, Patricia Destrampe (James) and Deborah Dow (David); and his nephew Shaun Berry. He is also survived by many loving cousins, and many close life-long friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Memorial Chapel Funeral & Cremation Service - Hancock (1017 Quincy St, Hancock, MI 49930). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
