He was predeceased by: his parents, William Kangas and Phoebe Kangas (Hoitola); his son-in-law Aaron Arceci; his siblings, Dennis and Phyllis; and his brothers-in-law, Kenneth Frantila and Stanley Frantila.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Kangas; his daughter Barbra Ellenich; his grandchildren, Kyle and Kevin; his daughters, Kollin and Brenda Meyers (Dave); his grandchildren, Dylan, Logan and Rhonda Kangas (Eddy Maki); his great grandchildren, Brooke Wickstrom (Johnny) and Travis; his granddaughter Renee Arceci (Jake Gerzetich); his great grandchildren, Dominic Arceci, Brielle Arceci, Carter Gerzetich, Jaden Gerzetich, Tristen Gerzetich, Ryder, Bentley, Hunter and Sawyer; his brother Richard Kangas (Josephine); and his cousin Preceding.
