He was predeceased by : his brother Allen Wayne Kangas; and his grandparents, Richard, Martha Hongisto, Felix and Florence Kangas.

He is survived by : his parents, Chris Kangas and Dolores Kangas (Hongisto); his wife LeeAnn Hughes; his daughters, Sloan Marie Kangas (Skylar Closson) and Taylor Ann Kangas; the parent of his children Pegeen Kangas of Niles, Mich.; his parents-in-law, Jim and Lana Hughes; his siblings, Dr. Pamela Jean Pardini (Joseph) of Green Bay, Wisc. and Pastor Jon Richard Kangas (Mary); his sister-in-law Shelly Hughes; and his nieces and nephews, Samantha Paige Pardini of Green Bay, Dylan Mario Pardini of Green Bay, Jackson Joseph Pardini of Green Bay, Alison Renee Kangas, Macy June St (Josh), Lillly Ann Kangas, Isaac James Kangas of Houghton, Aurora, Charlotte and Eleanor. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.
