With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Thomas James Poynter (Hancock, Michigan), born in Howell, Michigan, who passed away on September 30, 2023 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by : his parents, James Poynter and Aileen Poynter (Sullivan); his brother Jack Poynter; his uncle Max; and his aunt Dorothy.
He is survived by : his wife Lani K. Hendricks; his children, Tom Poynter II, Laurie Sullivan (Bob) and James Vandenabeele (Genna); his grandchildren, Stephanie Poynter, Paul Kolarik, Tom Kolarik, Hannah Kolarik, Ivy Vandenabeele and James Vandenabeele; his great grandchild Gia Gendernalik; his sister Sue Mitsuno (Ted); and his sister-in-law Cheri Poynter (Jack). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
