He was predeceased by: his parents, John Byykkonen and Lempi Byykkonen (Koupus); and his siblings, Robert, Howard, Edward, Arthur, Florence Ketola, Sally Johnson, Alma Eilola and Nancy Kline.
He is survived by: his wife Ann Byykkonen of Hancock; his daughters, Michele Reed (Douglas) and Deb Gau (Jim) of Hancock; his grandchildren, Justus Gau (Angela) of Indianapolis, IN and Roseanne Cecchi (Jon Whitman) of Green Bay, WI; his great grandchildren, Cooper Whitman and Stella Whitman; and his sisters, Ruth Maki of Florida and Esther Bohto. He is also survived by Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
