He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry David and Arabella Shepherd (Coder); his siblings, Gladys Pryor, Clara Morris, Virginia Shepherd, Sue Redding, James, Franklin, Wendell, Jacob and Harold Shepherd; and his stepson Jason Rudy.
He is survived by: his children, Vicki Heckel (Dave) of Jonesville, Constance Rice (John) of Quincy, Chuck Shepherd (Tammy) of Hanover and Doug Shepherd (Connie) of Hanover; his stepdaughter Shawn Neville (Danish); his daughter Pernille Knuth; his siblings, Mary Redding and Bill Henry Shepherd; and his former wife Patricia M. Shepherd (Cox). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; and 35 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, August 24th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Litchfield Chapel (220 N Chicago St, Litchfield, MI 49252).
