He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Maitland and Francis Maitland (Pratt); his son Danny Kay; and his siblings, Orville Maitland, Gerald Maitland, Jack Maitland, Donna Louraine and Clarence Maitland.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy; and his children, Dale Maitland (Linda), Debora Smith (Jackson) and Dolores Grace (Ronald). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Hanover Baptist Church (140 Allen St, Hanover, MI 49241). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
