He was predeceased by: his parents, Elwood Brand and Betty Brand; his siblings, Beverly Langham and James Brand; and his grandson Robert "Mikey" Ruh III.
He is survived by: his girlfriend Susan McQueen; his daughter Loretta Ruh; his grandchildren, Ashley Wiggin (Kyle), Corey Hackworth (Kristen), Austin Ruh (Destiney) and Joslyn Thacker (Kevin); his great grandchildren, Jayden Holton, Jayce Holton, Atreus Ruh, Amaya Ruh, Lottie Ruh and Kevin Thacker III; and his siblings, Gene Brand (Shirley), Ronald Brand (Deb) and Barbara Dudley (Dickey). He is also survived by many extended family members and close friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Lauer Family Funeral Home (116 S Main St, Concord, MI 49237). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
