He was predeceased by: his grandparents, George A. and Leona Gasperson. He is survived by: his parents, Dixie Shafer (Gasperson) and Bobby Shafer; his wife Lisa Matzner; his sisters, Teri Shafer and Jayna Ferguson (Allan); his nephew Adam Ferguson; and his pet Happy.
