He was predeceased by: his parents, Cornelius Volmering and Evelyn Volmering (Artman); his brother Robert Volmering; his parents-in-law, Lloyd, Betty Schumacher, Richard Martin, Ann, John Uicker, Tom Schumacher, Bessie Kirsch, Larry Mausolf and Maurice Williamson; and his nephew Terry Kirsch.
He is survived by: his wife Jane Volmering of Harbor Beach; his children, Heidi Zoll (Donald Sr.) of Port St, Jill Volmering (Jim Fagan) of Harbor Beach and Ronald Volmering Jr. (Kathy Willing) of Harbor Beach; his grandchildren, Audrey, Adrianne (Derek), Veronica, Donald Jr., Matthew, Emily and Austin; his pet Remmy; his siblings, Sharon Mausolf of Harbor Beach, Elaine Williamson of Vassar and Paul Volmering (Dennise) of Pinckney; and his siblings-in-law, Jackie Volmering, Arlene Martin, Carol Volmering and Donald Kirsch. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
