She was predeceased by : her parents, Bobbs Baker and Edna Baker; and her husband Kenneth Mertz. She is survived by : her children, Kenneth Mertz (Ann), Karen Schneider (Paul), Deborah Shumaker (late Daniel), Laura Pokas (Mike) and Carol Refenes; and her sister Arlene Mertz (Bill).

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Daniel Shumaker MD Memorial Endowed Scholarship. (Dan was Donna's much-loved son-in-law).
